AI servers push more power through denser hardware than conventional computing. High-current connectors, busbar plating, high-reliability solder and the contactors in power distribution all favor silver for the same reason defense electronics do: at high loads, conductivity and contact reliability stop being preferences and become requirements.
A data center is a power conversion plant as much as a computing facility — grid interconnection, switchgear, uninterruptible power supplies and cooling control systems. Each layer adds silver-bearing electrical hardware. Industry commentary increasingly cites this electrical-infrastructure layer as the underestimated silver consumer.
Precise per-rack silver figures are not yet published in primary sources the way solar's are, and we will not invent one.
