Capstone Academy

Learn how money actually works — then decide for yourself

Ten courses. 100 lessons. About 15 hours of plain reading, built from statutes, archives and official data rather than opinion. No price forecasts, no promised returns, and no pitch inside the lessons.

What this is, and what it is not

This is an education programme, not a sales funnel with lessons attached. Every factual statement resolves to a document you can open — the statutory record at the Library of Congress, the central-bank archive at FRASER, Treasury and Bureau of Labor Statistics releases. Where informed people disagree, the lesson says so and gives both readings. Where the honest answer is that nobody knows, it says that too.

What you will not find: a predicted price, a promised return, a recommended allocation presented as universal, or a claim we cannot source. If a lesson ever drifts past its evidence, the lesson is wrong and we will fix it.

The curriculum

How money actually works

Ten lessons that answer the question almost nobody is taught: what is money, who makes it, and why does it buy less over time?

10 lessons about 88 minutesStart reading

Course 2Foundation

The money history that explains today

Ten lessons tracing the dollar from a defined weight of silver to a managed unit — using the statutes and archives, not the folklore.

10 lessons about 96 minutesStart reading

Course 3Foundation

Precious metals from the ground up

What the metals are, how they are weighed and priced, and what makes one coin cost more than another.

10 lessons about 83 minutesStart reading

Retirement accounts and metals, done correctly

The statute, the custodian, the depository and the paperwork — so nothing accidentally becomes a taxable distribution.

Course 5Working knowledge

Risk, allocation and honest expectations

How to size a position, what diversification does and does not do, and why nobody here will promise you a return.

10 lessons about 90 minutesStart reading

Course 6Advanced

Reading the economy without being fooled

How to read the official releases yourself, and how to tell an evidence-led argument from a persuasive one.

10 lessons about 91 minutesStart reading

Course 7Advanced

Banking, custody and counterparties

What deposit insurance covers, what happens when a bank fails, and how physical custody differs from a promise.

10 lessons about 94 minutesStart reading

Course 8Advanced

Currencies and the global system

Reserve status, de-dollarization, BRICS, sanctions and energy — with the data that exists and honesty about the rest.

10 lessons about 96 minutesStart reading

Course 9Working knowledge

Stewardship, family and the long view

Managing what you have been given: preparation without fear, generosity without naivety, and a plan your family can actually execute.

10 lessons about 87 minutesStart reading

Course 10Professional

Professional practice: due diligence and documentation

For trustees, advisers, business owners and anyone who must justify a decision to somebody else.

10 lessons about 92 minutesStart reading

Where to start

  • New to all of this: Course 1, then Course 3. You will be able to read a metals quote correctly and explain purchasing power to somebody else.
  • Considering a retirement account: Course 4 first, then Course 5. The rules before the products.
  • Already informed and tired of being sold to: Courses 6 through 8, then the claims register.
