Questions about the research service
What this service is, what it deliberately does not claim, and how the research behind it is produced and reviewed.

What is Capstone Market Intelligence?
It is a research service. We collect market data, turn questions about markets into testable strategy rules, test those rules with deterministic code, review the results adversarially, and publish what we found — including what failed. Members read the research; they do not receive instructions to trade.
Do you tell me what to buy or sell?
No. Nothing in the service is a recommendation, a signal to act on, or personalised investment advice. Portfolio features are research and monitoring about holdings you enter yourself.
Is any of this live trading?
No. Strategy research runs in a paper environment only. There is no broker connection in the platform and no code path that can place a real order. Paper results are simulations and are not the same as real execution, which involves real fills, real costs and real slippage.
Do you publish a performance track record?
No. We publish method, tests and outcome tracking of research claims. Simulated or historical results are not evidence of future results, and we do not present them as a trading record.
What does the Watchtower research engine actually do?
It runs a fixed research lifecycle: observation, data quality checks, evidence review, hypothesis, strategy specification, deterministic testing, walk-forward validation, a locked holdout, robustness tests, red-team review, risk review, a written report and finally a promotion proposal for a human. Stages cannot be skipped, and no strategy is promoted automatically.
What role does AI play?
AI reads evidence, proposes falsifiable hypotheses, writes strategy specifications, argues against results and drafts reports. It never calculates a return, a risk figure or a statistic — deterministic code owns every number — and it cannot approve, promote or execute anything.
How do you avoid fooling yourselves with overfitted results?
Point-in-time data with publication lags, feature and label time separation, an immutable holdout, explicit counts of how many variants were tested, parameter perturbation, subsample and regime tests, realistic cost and capacity assumptions, and overfitting diagnostics. Failed hypotheses are kept so the same dead end is not rediscovered.
What is in each membership?
Market Watch is free and includes the published pages, a limited dashboard, one watchlist and sample research. Market Intelligence adds the full dashboard, the research library, the regime dashboard, portfolio monitoring and the research assistant. Quant Research adds the strategy laboratory, backtest and validation reports, robustness diagnostics and the paper-trading research record.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Card checkout is being connected. Until it is live, memberships are set up by phone at (800) 200-9553 and no payment is taken on the site. Memberships are month to month once billing is live; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Is my portfolio data private?
Yes. Anything you enter is readable only by your own signed-in account, enforced on the server. It is never shown to other members, and it is not used to generate trading instructions.
How does this relate to the rest of Capstone Metals?
Market Intelligence is the evidence and education layer. The wealth-protection side of Capstone — metals, retirement accounts, stewardship of what you already hold — is where a plan actually gets built, with a person.
Read the method, then decide
The methodology page is the honest version of how this works, including its limits.
Where this fits in the wider picture
Market Intelligence is the evidence layer. The wealth-protection side of Capstone is where those findings meet an actual plan — metals, retirement accounts and stewardship of what you already hold.
- The education library — money, debt and purchasing power, from first principles.
- Gold's place in the world economy — what the historical record does and does not show.
- Wealth protection in one place — how metals, advice and entities fit together.
Research and education only. Nothing on this page is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security or metal, or a forecast. No outcome is promised or implied. Simulated and historical results do not indicate future results, and any strategy discussed here may lose money. Speak with us about your own circumstances before acting: (800) 200-9553.
