Executive dashboard development

An executive dashboard should answer four questions in under a minute: what changed, what it means, what needs a decision, and what is at risk. Anything else is a chart.

What goes on it

Pipeline by stage and expected value, revenue and gross margin, cost per enquiry and per customer, response time, cycle time, and the handful of leading indicators that actually move those.

  • Pipeline and expected value
  • Revenue, margin, recurring
  • Cost per enquiry and per customer
  • Response and cycle times
  • Alerts with owners

The daily brief

A short written brief that names the most consequential items, states the evidence behind each, and proposes the next action. Proposals stay proposals until a human approves them.

How an engagement actually runs

Every engagement follows the same four steps, in the same order. We do not start building before the architecture is agreed, and we do not agree architecture before we have seen the evidence.

  • Diagnose — a Business X-Ray of what is publicly observable, plus your own numbers where you have them
  • Architect — a written current-state and target-state map, with the sequence and effort behind each step
  • Build — implemented in priority order, with each phase usable before the next begins
  • Measure — tracking, dashboards and a review rhythm so decisions come from evidence

What we will not tell you

We will not promise a ranking, a lead volume, a conversion rate or a revenue figure. Anyone who does is guessing. What we will do is show you the arithmetic behind any projection, label what is measured versus estimated, and tell you plainly when something is unknown.

Common questions

Will it work with our existing systems?
Usually, provided the data is accessible. Where it is not, that gap is documented as part of the work.
Who maintains it?
You, or us under a retainer. Either way the model is documented so it is not a black box.
