Business architecture consulting
Business architecture is the map: what systems exist, what data flows between them, who owns each step, and where the breaks are. Without it, every improvement is a guess and every tool purchase risks adding another island.
- Output
- Current + target architecture
- Includes
- Prioritised build plan
- Format
- Written, diagrammed, decision-ready
- Typical range
- $2,500–$7,500 fixed fee
What the assessment covers
We interview the people doing the work, inventory the systems, follow a real enquiry end-to-end, and document what actually happens rather than what the process document says.
- System inventory with owners and cost
- Data-flow map, including the manual handoffs
- Enquiry-to-cash trace with timings
- Risk register: single points of failure, unclear ownership, missing measurement
How an engagement actually runs
Every engagement follows the same four steps, in the same order. We do not start building before the architecture is agreed, and we do not agree architecture before we have seen the evidence.
- Diagnose — a Business X-Ray of what is publicly observable, plus your own numbers where you have them
- Architect — a written current-state and target-state map, with the sequence and effort behind each step
- Build — implemented in priority order, with each phase usable before the next begins
- Measure — tracking, dashboards and a review rhythm so decisions come from evidence
Why a paid assessment first
A build priced before the architecture is understood is either padded or wrong. The assessment converts unknowns into scope, so the build estimate is defensible and you keep the document either way.
What we will not tell you
We will not promise a ranking, a lead volume, a conversion rate or a revenue figure. Anyone who does is guessing. What we will do is show you the arithmetic behind any projection, label what is measured versus estimated, and tell you plainly when something is unknown.
Common questions
- Do we have to build with you afterwards?
- No. The assessment is a standalone deliverable. You own the document and can implement it with any team.
- How long does it take?
- Typically two to four weeks, driven mostly by interview scheduling.
