Melt at $69.39 silver is $346.95. Certified MS69 First Strike examples of the 2013 five-ounce America the Beautiful issues have traded at roughly 1.3x to 1.6x the melt value of their day, and Great Basin is among the lower-mintage releases of that year. Researched band $449-$539; priced at the top of that band, as these trade on grade, pedigree and surviving population rather than on spot, and only one example is held.

America the Beautiful 5 oz Silver Bullion — as issued by the mint
As issued by the United States Mint, every America the Beautiful piece is a 3-inch, 5 troy ounce .999 fine silver coin with a vapor-blasted matte finish, the incused edge marking .999 FINE SILVER 5.0 OUNCE, and no mint mark on the bullion issues. The Mint shipped them in tubes of five inside sealed monster boxes; certified examples like the one photographed above were pulled from those original tubes and submitted for grading, which is why an untouched, high-grade survivor trades far above a raw coin.

Reference plates illustrate the series as issued and are provided for comparison only. The photograph on the left is the piece you are buying.
What makes this silver piece unique
First Strike
Certified from the earliest release window, when dies were freshest and strikes sharpest. Collectors pay a premium for the designation because the eligibility window has closed.
Near-perfect 69
One tick from perfect, with a single trivial imperfection. Trades close to the 70 population while remaining far more available.
One in the vault — when it sells, it is gone
This is a single-piece listing. We do not restock certified coins: once it ships, the listing closes and the next example we find will be a different coin, at a different price.
Priced on merit, not melt
Raw silver is a commodity; a graded, designated survivor is not. This piece is priced on grade, designation, pedigree and the public sold results behind it — which is why it holds a premium that spot alone never explains.

Graded PCGS MS69 First Strike 2013-P Great Basin National Park 5 oz .999 fine silver America the Beautiful bullion coin, cert 518153.69/28406929.
This 2013-P Great Basin National Park issue is part of the U.S. Mint's America the Beautiful 5 ounce silver bullion series — the largest silver coins the Mint has ever struck, at 3 inches across and five full troy ounces of .999 fine silver. This example is certified PCGS MS69 with the First Strike designation, sealed in its original PCGS holder. Great Basin carries one of the lower mintages of the 2013 issues, and the reverse depicts a bristlecone pine in the Nevada high desert.
Authorized by the America the Beautiful Quarters Program, the 5 ounce silver series ran from 2010 through 2021. The 2013 Great Basin release reported a mintage of 17,792 pieces, small by modern bullion standards, which is why graded MS69 examples trade at a premium to melt.
